Together Empowering All Women (TEAW)
We are happy to invite all schools and their students to participate in the current, 10th edition, of the international online project “Together Empowering All Women“. This annual initiative, uniting over 100 law students worldwide, represents a longstanding collaboration between the Romanian-American University (Romania) and Galgotias University (India), in partnership with other esteemed academic institutions.
Since its launch in 2016, #TEAW has offered students a unique opportunity to engage in a multicultural environment, promoting collaboration and deepening their understanding of women’s rights and regional challenges. As an online legal clinic project, our goal is to expand participation to more universities, responding to the growing interest among students in this international educational and volunteer initiative.
The activities of #TEAW will focus on celebrating International Women’s Day (March 8) and My Freedom Day (March 14, dedicated to the fight against modern slavery). During the first two weeks of March, each participating university will engage a team of 5 to 10 students to organize community and/or online awareness campaigns. These initiatives will promote women’s rights, foster multicultural dialogue, and encourage knowledge-sharing through online meetings and student-led posts across participating universities worldwide.
At the conclusion of #TEAW, students will share their reflections and experiences, highlighting the multicultural perspectives on women’s status and rights gained throughout the project. To document the initiative, a brochure will be created, showcasing the activities conducted along with photos capturing key moments of engagement and collaboration.
To enhance knowledge exchange and networking, we will host an online round-table discussion on March 28, 2025 (time to be determined based on partner universities’ locations). This event will provide a platform for professors and students involved in #TEAW to share insights, reflect on their experiences, and discuss the challenges and advancements in women’s rights at both local and global levels.
Since its inception, this initiative has been a valuable platform for diversity, knowledge-sharing, networking, and collaboration among students worldwide. We are excited to invite you and your students to be part of #TEAW, joining our global community of law students in promoting women’s rights and cross-cultural dialogue.
If you and/or your students are interested in participating, please fill in the online form by February 17th and send an email to [email protected] with your institution’s logo to ensure acknowledgment in this edition’s materials.
We look forward to welcoming you and your students to this enriching and impactful initiative, fostering global collaboration and meaningful discussions on women’s rights!
Warm regards,
Silvia Tabusca, Project coordinating professor ([email protected])
