The Canada-ECLER Anti-Trafficking (CEAT) project has as its main goal the organization, on December 7, 2023, of a regional activity in Sibiu, to raise awareness of the danger of human trafficking, especially among young people.

To achieve this goal, ECLER, with the support of its international, national and local partners, will bring together experts in the field of human trafficking prevention, students, teachers, parents and other professionals who work with children.

 


Also under the auspices of the CEAT project, ECLER and the Canadian Embassy are organizing a national thematic drawing competition for students between 12-19 years old from Romania.

The objective of the competition is to help students, teachers and parents to be aware of the risks of human trafficking, especially of the Loverboy recruitment method. These drawings can be made as a result of information sessions about the risks of human trafficking carried out by the coordinating teaching staff or as a result of the students’ online research and documentation.

WHENThe contest will take place between November 10 and December 7, 2023. Drawings uploaded to the form until December 7 10, 2023, at 11:59 p.m., will enter the contest.

WHEREAt the national level and is addressed to students and teaching staff from secondary and high school education in schools, children’s palaces, arts and crafts schools, vocational schools in Romania.

WHATThe drawings must illustrate the theme of the contest – the risks of human trafficking or the risks of the loverboy recruitment method. The drawings will be posters or posters, in A4 or A3 format, using different techniques (pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolors, computer programs, etc.). They will be labeled on the lower right, on 2 distinct lines with: the student’s name and surname, the class and the name of the coordinating teacher, the teaching function and the name of the educational unit where they work (without abbreviations).
 
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: an image in PNG, JPG, GIF or PDF format, maximum 10MB, of the created drawing will be uploaded to the online form dedicated to registering for the contest.
 
 
Announcing WINNERSthe winners will be announced on December 10-13, 2023, on the ECLER Facebook page, as they will be selected by the predetermined jury.
